Newest FNG sounding off here...please be gentle!
:PShort bio: I have been interested in the Warrior lifestyle since I was 10 years old. First it was martial arts in general, then Karate specifically fom 14years old. Around 17, some of my instructors came back from a Kali/Escrima seminar and were talking about the demonstrations of the lethality of a knife. This got me keenly interested in guns, and handguns for concealed carry/self defense in particular. I had been taught a few things about guns by my Dad, who was a former Marine and Vietnam vet, and we went plinking with an air-rifle a few times. But it was my interest in Karate that caused me to be enlightened as to the need for firearms, and the skill to use them. Served 5 years in the Marine Corps, where I found out that I am a pretty decent shot(4X Expert). I am a Hoosier, and have been carrying since I was 20. Living in Japan now, where I have had the chance to meet and train with some wonderful Sensei, but I REALLY miss my guns!!:( |

BushidoMarine
Interesting thread & you (for sure) have a neat life history.
You\'ll be very welcome here. EVERYBODY is gentle here. :) Heck I have not even seen anybody get flamed here yet. It\'s a very flame free site. My little nephew is super into Karate. I have never seen a kid so young be so totally dedicated to the arts. It\'s been a really good thing for him & he is an amazing kid. Thanks Much!...for your 5 years in the Marines in service to the Good Ol'U.S. Of A. - I\'m certain that I speak for all of us when I tell you that we all appreciate your service. Welcome to the forum. :kay: |

Thanks QK :kay: I like your Avatar!
My neice and nephew train in Karate, too. With both their Dad and their Uncle into Martial Arts, it was their destiny even before they were born! :D |
