From Eugene Oregon to Los Angeles Ca.

Hello-
Glad to be here in the constant sunshine, but my Oregon CHL has the same power as a fake ID in this county. Having saved my own butt twice, and someone else's a third time; Now I am told here to just dial 911? Reported a car wreck last week and it took over 6 minutes to get a 911 operator on the line. What I read in the local papers is "just take all the guns away" and everything will be allright.
These people just cannot seperate reality from some perfect concept that does not exsist. Those idiots in charge do not get the non-perception of the criminial mind.
The stack of books I have read on the subject of CCW is 2 feet high. I wanted to be as educated on the subject as I could. The weapons course I took in Oregon was very informative, however I learned as much in the chit-chat session after the last class as in the whole course. I lived in a commercial building where I worked and was 500 yards from the nearest house. I carried my Taurus 44 special ultralite snub every day since Dec '99. Now I half to leave it at home while I go out to try and make a living while I pray someone else's job is not to break in and steal it.
I really enjoy this forum and a place to share thoughts about the subject.
