Thanks guys!

Pete:
My current XD .45 service has been modded by Springer Precision with his carry trigger job, factory cleanup job, extended mag release and some TFO sights.
Of course, I had our Precision polishing treatment done (in sig below) on the barrel, feedramp and GR end. It is my carry favorite gun.

I just bought another XD .45 service that is getting the FULL treatment. Jess at On Target Custom Gun Works is doing his sweet grip job, which involves removing the front and rear grip checkering, recontouring the grip and then applying his nice stippling treatment. After it's stippled, he blasts the grip with a glass bead media to remove the rough edges. The result is a grip that offers very high traction without being rough. The modified grip is supposed to be a bit smaller and even more ergonomic than before.

Then, he's doing a "melt" treatment on my slide to smooth everything down and refinishing the slide afterwards. The frame is being recontoured also to allow a higher grip on the rear of the gun, etc.
He's also doing his carry trigger job with adj preset travel and installing a set of TFO sights, along with some smoothing of various internals. Gotta go with the extended mag release too, and I think he may be smoothing the slide release and take down levers.

When I get the gun back, I'll be doing our full polishing treatment and etching our logo's on the gun.
I don't think I've seen a single carry XD that is as trick as this one will be. I can't wait to get it done!

Thanks!
Dirk
