Actually, I am thinking of sponsoring a DC shooting party at Tri-county this summer. Stand by for future details.
Count me in.

Guests can come along with a member to enjoy the facilities. That can help. With all of the various ranges at TCGC, the ~$10/mo doesn't end up being that much, considering the different types of shooting one can do at the same facility.

As for those "backwoods" places, give me a holler (PM) if you know of a couple/three spots that are suitable.

Let us know, and good luck!

We actually got our's at gunsamerica.com -- somebody had a post up about a waiting list, so we emailed them and they had none in. About a month later, she emailed us and said she had two in! We only paid $320 shipped for both which is pretty good! I think we lucked out there. I do like gunbroker.com . Gunbroker and Gunsamerica are the only decent firearms auction sites I know of -- are there more out there (good one's)?

Yes, indeed, good price. They will be coming down in price in another few months, I'm sure. And yes, I think that gunbroker.com is a good place to shop, but you need to remember, that like eBay, it's only as good as the person selling.
