Thanks everyone for the warm welcome, and input.. I've just heard a lot of iffy stuff about gun shows (Opinions mostly). I'm looking for my conceal carry to be a Glock 27, and I'm also considering the Glock 26.

Since you are pretty sure which firearm you want to purchase, I'd go with your best deal. Might be a gun show, but most of mine now come from the internet. I deal directly with the sellers (FFL's only). The firearm is then shipped to a local FFL (per Federal Law) who will simply charge me a set fee to process the transaction (a transfer fee). Still no sales tax, and I get some pretty good deals. OTOH, there is always something to supporting your local gun shop too. If you've got a good one, and they take good care of you, that can certainly be worth a premium (probably not huge) you might pay over my method. You've got lots of options.

A warm welcome from South Florida. I would buy from a local dealer especially if they have a range at the store. This helps to build a good relationship with them which will come in handy someday when you need it.
