Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I have already noticed the marked penchant for civility here, and lemme tell ya, it sure is nice! I'm sure many of you have spent as much time as I cruisin' around the web and are equally thankful that there's a place such as this where folks can be tough guys and girls (or not) without being jerks.

I've enjoyed being here so far and look forward to participating in what I hope will be a beneficial manner.

Best,
Jon

Oh, also, I thought I'd mention that if any of you are whitetail deer hunters and have questions about how to plant food plots, what to plant, good tips and techniques for maximizing your planting results, mineral/vitamin supplements, etc., I am "in the business" and would be glad to help you in any way (not to hawk the stuff we sell, but just to help on a general basis).

Best,
Jon

Jon, I noticed your avatar is a scene from "Open Range". That is my second favorite western behind "The Searchers".

Yep. My kind of people here. If I also discover that folks here are secure enough in their manhood to even like The Quiet Man and The Big Country, well heck, I'll be in heaven. lol!

Best,
Jon

Well, if "The Quiet Man" is the one where JW was a American boxer of Irish descent, who moved to Ireland. I believe Maureen O'Hara was his costar then that is my favorite non-western by John Wayne. I don't remember if I've seen "The Big Country"

You haven't been here long enough to prove yourself as a true 1911 Fanatic . I figure by the time someone reaches 200 posts and most of them are BS or 93.293333% 1911 related, they are worthy of recieving a password. then you will have to sign a contract saying that you will only ever own 1911's and no tuperware guns for the rest of your life

One of Gregory Pecks best movies, but the real highlight is the opening theme music score by Jerome Moross...the best western movie soundtrack ever...even better than The Magnificent Seven!

You can catch a brief clip of it on the "samples" section in this link...this isn't the "original" soundtrack, but you can get an idea of how it sounds.

Hey, I've had my 1911s much longer than tupperware. I even have Colt 1911s. I just don't carry them. I do love the 1911, but I want more rounds than 7+1.

If you can give me a solution I'll consider it.
