Yes! You got it, FrontSight. If you have never seen The Big Country, and if you like The Quiet Man and Open Range, the latter being my favorite movie of all time, then I promise you'll like The Big Country, because of the character qualities of the character played by Gregory Peck. The character is, first and foremost, a gentleman - he treats even those in the most lowly stations in life, with genuine respect. He is also not swayed from his own understanding of right and wrong, feels the need to prove himself only to himself, and does not waiver in his values regardless of the pressure to do so. Pick up a copy and watch it, and if you remember the points I just made and watch the movie from the standpoint of seeing the character traits of Gregory Peck's character, it'll become one of your favorites too. It really is that good.
