Smile Hello everyone.

I just thought Id say Hi I just signed up. I'm 17, don't own any guns and have never fired one. Once I turn 18 I plan on buying my first gun. Iv read probably everything there is on weapon safety etc.. and I'm pretty strong so I think I could fire a .45 quite easily. Iv always wanted a 1911.. (doesn't everyone? ) though ill probably start out on something smaller like a .38 or a 9mm.. a .22 doesn't seem powerful enough even for learning.. almost everything iv read suggested they hardly have much more power than an air gun.. once I get a year or two of solid firearms experience under my belt I hope to get my CCW license and start carrying regularly. I don't know anyone who is has any guns or even has a mild interest in them.. so I'm on my own in this.

Hope to have a great time on these forums.. everyone seems like pretty cool people, we'll see.

Welcome Aboard from the Peach State!

Don't discount the .22 as a tool for training. It's an excellent platform for devoloping GOOD, proper shooting habits. I'd advise that, when you can, get into a training course that'll get you started in basic fundamentals and solid safety practices.

This is a great forum to bounce ideas, questions, and so forth off it's members. Those here are more than helpful and will point you in a good direction to start off on.

Stay Safe, learn ALL that you can, and again, Welcome Aboard!
