Hi from Long Island, NY
Good day to you all, whilst I am new to this site I am far from new to guns and pistols. I have been shooting Bullseye, and International Target events for many years. I also delve into Traditional Muzzleloading to a big extent, and enjoy making noise & smoke---it's also my method of big game hunting as well. In recent years I have become interested in Defensive shooting and carry problems in NYS. I recently began a venture into IDPA after the purchase of an Springfield XD9. I like the heavy side of target shooting and the lighter side of IDPA as it emulates the real thing safely. In current times some areas close to where I live have steadily become more and more deadly with drive-bys and, B&E's and senior citizen beatings. I vowed that I will never allow myself to be beaten by a slug ugly. However all that aside at a very active age of 78 I enjoy myguns and shooting more and more---so many guns....so little time. "Doc"
