Open carry with a nice OWB rig from El Paso Saddlery. All that carving doesn't do much for you if it's not seen.
Sometimes I'd CC with a shoulder rig - but I wouldn't have a problem taking off my cover garment if it got too hot.

depends on the situation. if i HAVE to go somplace where i am certain there will be trouble i'd go OC with one(so as to ward off some potential trouble and quicker reaction to any BG's that still want to cause problems) and have a bug concealed, otherwise still concealed.
sometimes M.A.D. is the best policy.

I make quick changes from concealed to open and back again whenever I dine in an alcohol serving establishment, where concealed carry is illegal; that's two to three times a week. I carry my Glock 23 in a Tucker "The Answer" IWB holster. I perform the Virginia Tuck maneuver, tucking the cover shirt in behind the gun to go open. My other carry gun, a Kahr MK9, is usually in a Galco pocket holster, but I keep a Comp-Tac paddle holster in the car for the quick change to open carry.

I prefer concealed carry and would like to get the restaraunt ban overturned. We got it through the legislature this year, but not with enough votes to override Governor Kaine's veto.

I'd carry the same ways (plural) as I have been and do. With my CFP I have the option to either CC or OC. I think most of the hype about advantages one way or the other, is baloney.

At home I OC.

When the weather is warm, walking the dog around the track or when I'm shopping at the big box store, I CC probably more than OC, but it's a toss-up. I CC most every other place I go.

But if the weather is cool enough to make me want a jacket or a coat, I always CC. It's a comfort thing.

Well, of course, but the message I replied to, erroneously said that open carry in New Mexico was ONLY legal in your vehicle. i.e., he misread the information. We have some Indian reservations here in Michigan also, but most follow state law, as far as I know.

And I am reliably informed, in most cases, when traveling through a reservation on an interstate highway, you are USUALLY safe. But you should always check the local laws before traveling. You don't want to get caught, unaware.

A lot of states in orange are legal to OC, but lack pre-emption or have other restrictions. For example, in PA, you can OC without a permit on foot only. You may not have a loaded gun in your car without a LTCF... period. In Philly you need a LTCF to OC. States like WV have pre-emption, but have some grandfather laws regarding OC. Each state in orange is different, its worth looking at the laws, if not for OC, but for car carry too.

Certainly concealed.. I don't want to give up the element of surprise to the BG or anyone else....

OC is leagal in MI, but I know LE theat said they have taken OC gunowners in for a few hours (using disturbing the peace for example).

How often do you OC SE of Lansing. I've only noticed one (non-LE) in SE MI. He OC IWB Kahr. So it was a partial CC, but he had a tucked in shirt (so you could see the gun). He said no had every said anything negative, and only positive.
