Respectfully, I stated what I have learned. I never once stated that it was a law. Usually when someone states something that they think is a law, they say this, "it is the LAW that you cannot open carry after you.....etc." Sorry to infringe on your rights. Think what you want, if it wasn't true, I made a mistake. If it was, well I guess my instructor was right.

Check it out, I just found some information I was looking for. I don't know where this information was found though, but anyway:

According to this, you may carry open or concealed with a permit in Michigan. It only makes sense that you can, I was just going by what my instructor told me. It didn't make sense when he said that, I was wondering why they would punish the people that went through the class and background check by no longer allowing OC.

Thanks for the update, much appreciated.

Really? To bad because if not for that, it was a pretty good post. Even stand up........ but you undermined yourself IMO by saying that and trying to defend it

Ohio is an open carry state. Apparently quite a few people open carry, I just haven't seen any.

I have an Ohio CHL. I don't open carry, but have no problem with people who do, and never criticize anyone just for doing so where it's legal. Most of the more hysterical criticisms of OC I see sound remarkably like the more hysterical criticisms I see (and have been subjected to) of CC.

If open carry is legal in your state and you want to do it, go ahead. If it's legal and like me you don't want to do it, just don't. Don't be a jackass hassling people for making a different, perfectly legal, choice from your own.

Arizona has been open carry since before there was an Arizona. Not as many do it as used to be seen... 'depends on the area tho. I go heeled everywhere not otherwise prohibited. Some of the privately owned prohibited areas I will not patronize. 'Doesn't matter if anyone else openly carries or not. What matters is that I can (and do).
