Living here in N.H. where OC is legal..i still don't see to many people doing it.seems like the only time i do,is when i'm at a OC event.i do mainly OC during the warmer times of the year..

As soon as the warmth comes,it'll be OCing season again..

Exclamation Guns in cars in Oregon

If you have a gun in your car in Oregon, it is accessible to you, and you don't have a concealed handgun license, you MUST have it out in the open, e.g. on the seat or console next to you, or on the dashboard. If you do have a CHL you can conceal it as usual.

I am not a lawyer, this is not legal advice, yadda yadda yadda.

Here in Michigan, once you have a CC permit, you CANNOT OC. Kinda weird...

No, that is false. There is no law in Michigan that says it must be concealed.

I carry strong side hip when outside of the house or I’m off the place. In Wyoming, we need government permission to legally carry a pistol concealed, but there’s no mention of open carry in state law. If it happens to be too warm to wear a cover garment, my pistol is exposed and I’m open carrying. I do the same activities, shopping, banking, courthouse, dining, etc. whether the pistol shows or it doesn’t and I have had no problems. There have been some folks who notice the gun, some who comment, cops check out the gun, but that’s OK, they don’t take any action when they see the gun. I DO use a “level one” security holster when I know the gun will be openly carried.

I did not state that one may not open carry in Michigan. That is legal. I did state that when one has acquired a CC permit, they no longer have the option of concealed OR open carry, they MUST now carry the pistol concealed only.

I may have missed it in MI law, but where does it state that once you have a CC permit , you must carry concealed?
I am originally from IN and whenever I go to visit I quite often end up in MI.
