Who is OC'ing at the NRA convention this weekend?

Dont have my CCW yet, conflicts with work. But since they allow open carry in some parts of the NRA convention, I am going to give it a shot. Never done it in public before, just around the house cooking and doing house work lol

Good idea. OCing for the first time in an environment rich with pro-gun people should generate very low stress.

You're good for OC at the convention and on the Metro.

138th NRA ANNUAL MEETINGS & EXH
Lawful carry of firearms is allowed at the Phoenix Convention Center during the NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits except at events where alcohol is being served. Alcohol will be served at the following events, which makes possession of firearms at these events unlawful under state law:

National NRA Foundation Banquet
Celebration of American Values Freedom Experience Banquet
All Related Banquet Receptions

Valley Metro | METRO Conduct & Etiquette
Code of conduct for METRO riders
METRO ordinances and policies were enacted to protect the safety, security and health of our passengers. Violators are subject fines ranging from $50 to $500 dollars and may lose their transit privileges.

You may not eat on the train, although you may carry groceries. Beverages must be in a closed, spill-proof container such as a commuter cup.
Customers using audio or video devices are required to use earphones.
Alcohol and tobacco are prohibited.
Federal regulations prohibit the transportation of flammable, explosive or hazardous materials.
Vandalism or willful destruction of METRO property is prohibited.
You may not lie down on the seats or place your feet on them.
You may not spend more than one hour on a METRO station.
Guide or service animals are permitted on the train. All other animals must be carried inside a completely enclosed and secured cage or carrying case small enough to fit on a rider’s lap and must not endanger or disturb other passengers.
Etiquette when riding
Respect priority seating areas for passengers with disabilities. You may use them but must surrender them to someone using a wheelchair or scooter.
Keep the aisles clear.
Occupy only one seat on the train. Keep packages in your lap or on the floor under the seat.
Be patient and wait for other passengers to deboard before you enter the train.
Safety on station platforms
While waiting for the train, stand back from the edge of the platform.
Keep children together and away from the tracks until the train stops completely. Hold the hands of small children when on the station platform.
Allow other passengers to exit the train before you board.
Skateboarding, rollerblading and riding bikes on or near platforms is not permitted.

I cant wait! Never open carried in public, always cold feet. But being a place where it is accepted, I have a better feeling :)

I'll probably CC til I get there, then "expose myself" so to speak, upon entering.

Don't forget the DC.com meet and greet on Saturday at Rocky's booth!!

I OCed in Kentucky last year at the convention. It was a moot issue. You're not with sheep, so the crowd doesn't care.

Went to the open air free NRA concert downtown in Phoenix last night.

I open carried to and at the event and only saw 2 other guys OC'ing. Would have liked to have seen more, but didn't really walk through the crowd either.

Seemed like a lot of police and security staff there as well.
