Ther is no point in carrying an unlloaded pistol or revolver, to church or otherwise. I would have no part in this.

I was going to say throw rocks at the BG, I'd want to keep my weapon!

Perhaps the Padre can throw the smoking purse at the BG to distract him while the others rush to beat him with their bibles.

You all are missing the point completely. The pastor is a former marine and a handgun owner. He is pro carrying. He is taking a major step in supporting 2A rights by doing this. A small step to you but a major step as far as churches are concerned.

No I'd say we get the point.

Make a big show of everyone OCing California Hammers. Might as well be a carpenters convention.

I'd say You are missing the point. It's legal to carry in church in Ky. Why would I want to carry an unloaded gun in church if I can carry concealed, loaded, and no one knows? Like someone else said, it's like advertising there are a bunch of unloaded guns here, come get em.
If he wants to promote guns and gun safety, is he saying the only safe gun is an unloaded gun? Cmon everyone, carry a gun, but unload it? Nothing to celebrate here...
I wrote the pastor a letter to ask him his reasoning behind unloading them. I'll let ya know what ( if ) he says.

I'd have to disagree with this. It sounds more like something a politician would do in order to "straddle the fence" than something a 2A supporter would do. OMO

"responsible gun owners" but not allowed to have loaded guns? All flash and no substance. Nice publicity stunt at least.

Sure. He supports 2nd amendment freedoms. Then he hires security guards to strip those freedoms away at the door of his church. What a hypocrite.
