OC incident at Starbucks...

A funny incident happened yesterday at the same Starbucks that has the woman who freaks out at the sight of a Glock T shirt or a cap.

A guy came in, plain clothes with a 1911 in an OWB holster. He had no badge on his belt so I thought he was a citizen who was open carrying. There was a dead silence and everyone there just stopped talking. So this guy is followed by 7-8 more guys, all open carrying, no badges. You should have seen the look on everyones faces. I wish I had my camera.

One of them asked the guys, "Is errr..err everything ok? Why do you all have guns?" "We're cops ma'am" and he shows her his badge from his wallet.

She seemed releived and said "Oh, I thought you were just ordinary guys with guns." He then told her it was legal for a citizen to open carry in WA state and that there was no reason for her to be alarmed.

I took my coffee and stepped outside and saw a bunch of unmarked cars, from Escalades to Impalas all lined up.

That's too funny. I too wish you had a picture of their faces.

+1, wouldn't it have been better if you were OCing at the time too. Good officers who know the laws.

So she wasn't scared they were there to rob or shoot up the place? She was more scared that they were "ordinary guys with guns?"

And I would've paid for the cop's coffee who told her it was perfectly legal to OC. He get's a +1 in my book.

Priceless. He might be a member here. That would be great.
