The thing about OC is that just about every hunter in every state does it. Yet, for all those people who openly carry a loaded weapon, a remarkably FEW number of fatalities actually occur.

Personally, I don't understand the "No open carry" states. If hunters can, why not non-hunters? Is this based on some sort of privileged class of individuals who can afford to buy a license?

Hiking Mt. Washington, Lowes, Home Depot, WalMart, Borders, Bed Bath and Beyond, Ace Hardware, Murphy's Taproom, Shaws, Hannaford, the DMV, the NH State House, various car dealers, coffee shops, petco. Anywhere I go I've OCed and never had an issue inside any place I've been.

We can also add Sun Trust Bank to that list of places to OC without incident. Er, depending on your state laws and all.

Menards, Wal-Mart, liquor store, Wells Fargo bank, gas stations... no worries.

It is legal to carry in a financial institution but not concealed?? Am I understanding that correctly?

I was ocin' during a DUI check point this weekend, of course when he only asked to see my license I didn't even mention the pistol or my chp. So in reality no one knew it was there except me.

Here's a list of some of my OC "non-event" locations.

McDonald's
KFC
Del Taco
7/11's
Carl's Jr
Gas Stations
Wal Marts (sorta, aside from one incident)

I don't normally OC but maybe it's worth a try every once in a while! Just to keep the general public on their toes! lol
