I would rather OC because it is much more comfortable than CC. If you don't like OC then don't OC but don't degrade people who disagree with your opposition to OC.

This thread went south fast...lol. I'm jealous though, wish I could open carry in Alabama. Parents do live in TN though, and whenever I get around to getting an OWB holster I plan on OC a little.

This area of the forums is for the discussion of open carry and the experiences that folks have had wile OC'ing.

Not for some one to jump on here and bash people that are exercising there right in there state to OC.
If you do not like to OC thats fine, please keep your un asked for opinion to your self.

This is not the area to discuss or argue the OC vs CC debate.

I personally have been taking baby steps into OC'ing I would like to become completely confident with OC'ing.
I have learned allot from reeding this area of the forums.

Cry away. Tennessee law doesn't distinguish between a weapon carried openly and one carried concealed.

It seems like OC is getting easier any place that law enforcement is aware that it is legal. I've never had issues with either the general public or law enforcement, but it seems that when OC-ers have problems it is usually with LE that have not been trained on the legality of OC.

I personally go back and forth between CC and OC. I use the same belt and holster for both -- always strong side OWB (except for BUG). If I'm wearing a jacket and get warm, I switch to OC. I appreciate that in Washington I have the option.

We do the same here in Fayetteville, NC. I actually had an LEO come up to me and say that he wished more people OCed.

If you have not done so already, note and pay heed to this forum's header:

If you don't open carry, that's your business. Lots of other people do, and that, likewise, is their business.

Now lets get this thread back on track, folks.

I had a deputy tell me the same thing the other day. He also said he gets tired of reading the old "oc'ing just gives the BGs a target" crap on the net. I asked what he meant and he said if more people would OC then it would make it easier for everyone involved. The sheep (his words, not mine)would get used to it, LEO wouldn't have to worry about dealing with BS MWAG calls, and the scum out there would realize that they are surrounded by people not willing to run and hide or cower in a corner.
