Mike,

Which Mexican restaurant did you visit in Arlington?

I live right behind Pericos but I wasn't aware of a "bar" at either Mexican restaurant out here.

We went to our favorite. El Mezcal. They do have a bar in there and I think they have a much better menu than Pericos.

We should get together some time for a cup of coffee.

Next to Kroger and Movie Gallery? If so, I was in there the other day looking at the outdated sign wondering if they would ever change it or take it down.

The place isn't posted, no one said anything, no problems at all. They do still have the old sign up inside that says that TN law makes it a misdemeanor to knowingly carry a gun into a restaurant that serves alcoholl, which of course it was until the 14th of July. They even seated us in the bar section of the place. At a table where I could honestly reach over and touch the bar. Still no problems.

BTW, I OC'd my G30 at Pie in the Sky on Friday the 7th on Lyle off of West End in Nashville. I also OC every day in the downtown, east Nashville and Hermitage areas of town without any incident.

The only open carrying I've ever seen in Nashville was by a motorcyclist on I-65 heading northbound just past trinity lane. He was on a crotch rocket with a plainly visible subcompact glock near the small of his back in some sort of black OWB leather holster. Does that count?

Personally, I would rather live in the extreme East end of the state instead of the extreme West end where we do. Shelby and Davidson Counties (Memphis and Nashville) are the only two really solid left leaning liberal counties in Tennessee.

Besides, the mountains are a lot prettier than this end of the state.

i live extreme east tn. very few restaurants have posted here but most cities opted out of the park carry

i still dont go to parks. oh well at least i can eat out at the good places now. i dont see as much open carry as i would like to see but we have so many non rural people moving here to blount county and aint the same that it was 10 years ago

Technichally, yes.

I would not be suprised if this was accidental OC, though.

Except for an OC dinner we had in Febuary, I've not seen another OCer in Nashville (this is a big city, tho). Plenty of CCers have seen me and asked about my OC experience and "showed me theirs".

Ditto, besides they are too pricy and give small portions.

I need to get my TN Carry Permit done. Any recommendations on where to get a safety course done? Will travel some, but not too far from Clarksville.
