So, in Pennsylvania, what is the statute covering penalties for filing a false police report?

Who knows, but I do know there is no "brandishing" statute under the law.

At least she didn't begin with "Excuuuse me!"

Seriously, we all know if she really feared you she would have instantly run away and called 911, rather than attempting to engage you in a gun-control debate. I commend you for being far more patient with her than I would have. Most likely I would have completely ignored her or at most said "Since I don't report to you, your questions are irrelevant".

[quote[Her: *A little bit of attitude* "Do you really need that"?
Me: *Annoyed* "Need what"?
Her: "Your gun"?
Me: "Sure, there are bad people in the world"
Her: "Out in the open though"?
Me: "Mam, I'm sorry to be short but I'd like to be left alone please. I can carry a gun in the open in the state of PA, and even if I couldn't I'm on private property so I can"
Her: "Well I don't think it's a good idea with kids riding around and such"
I think my reply would have been more like this:

Her: *A little bit of attitude* "Do you really need that"?
Me: *Annoyed* "Need what"?
Her: "Your gun"?
Me: "Sure, last week I promised myself that the next time an old woman asked me stupid questions, that I'd shoot myself."
Her: "Out in the open though"?
Me: "Of course! No use messing up the house."
Her: "Well I don't think it's a good idea with kids riding around and such"
Me:"Well, I like kids! It's the old ladies with a million stupid questions that bother me."

True. Very true. Wonder if they caught up with whomever was slacking on that? Someone needs a little reminding...
I'm not surprised. Dispatchers really aren't trained very well.

However when I want be left alone I try not wear things that open the door to conversation. Openly carrying a firearm seems to draw attention from other people, so I would suggest CC when you don’t want to deal with people.
I've often wondered what would happen if I OCed while wearing an EMS t shirt. Could spark some interesting discussions!

How would that fly?
Sounds good!

I wouldn't bet on it. People like her would have been watching remotely hoping to see you slammed to the ground, cuffed, and arrested.

Rest assured, she probably saw the whole thing.

Well, I beleive that a single person can carry up 18 handguns on their person in holsters. I'm not sure how comforthable that would be, but I'd love to try it once... just need 17 more handguns.
