I did not knock OC, I just indicated that I do not believe in it - there is a big difference. I do not have to drink all of the Koolaid - I can choose what to ingest on my own. From what I have seen, most sheeple believe that carrying a gun in any fashion these days is not necessary. Because of this belief, they label gun carriers as fanatics and right wing crazies. I do not want to add fuel to their fears, or fires, hence I carry concealed.

I also think that some of the NRA's past never-give-an-inch tactics have alienated many folks who could have been sideline supporters. In any society, regarding any issue, there has to be some give and take, which is the core of negotiation. This is common sense.

I still firmly believe that CC provides a non-controversial, non-invasive method for me to carry as opposed to OC. I will not raise any concerns, ruffle any feathers, or make non-believers nervous since my weapon is out of sight and out of mind.

Again, just my humble opinion. I am not looking for a fight here.

Exactly what "inch" would you like to give?

Licensing?
Registration?
"Assault weapons"?
Concealed carry?
Handguns?

Whose support would you be willing to trade the above for?
How would that "support" benefit gun owners?

Whom do you think would be a better advocate for gun owners than the NRA?

I rest my case - 'never give an inch'. God forbid that any gun owner uses common sense. Make sure to fight to the death on every issue!
And also make sure to fight to end on the gunshow loophole. Anyone in today's society should recognize that it is impossible to do anything off the grid.

Sorry! Didn't mean to alienate the radical left! Please consider yourself duly included!

I find it interesting that you didn't answer a SINGLE question I posed. Not ONE.

Again, what "inch" are we supposed to give, and to whom?

"Gunshow loophole"? What's that? Please be specific.

As I noted elsewhere today regarding someone in another forum, it appears that AHSA is mounting another one of its feeble attempts to sucker gullible gun owners into contributing to the ailing "movement" to keep them from BEING gun owners.

AHSA is the equivalent of "Blacks for Jim Crow". Nobody's buying it.

I think he's referring to that multi state propaganda event that bloomburg did.

Jamie,
Ohio gun rights are steadily moving in the right direction since 2003...and we didn't have to give up anything. The only thing that we had to do was to show that we are responsible gun owners/carriers. That equates to really doing nothing because we already are.

There are no laws in Ohio concerning OC. Are you proposing one?

BINGO^^^^!

We have the same thing incorrelation to bear hunting here in Mi.
The bait hunters crab about the guys who run hounds, and vice versa. We need to all shut up with the Bubba bickering mentality that always seems to be prevalent in these situations. Just hunt and get along and quit the crybaby, or we will soon give the antis- all the ammunition they need ,be it OCvs.CC, or bear hunting in MI., or any such like situation.

We need to stick together;; It was once said, "we must hang together, or we will surely hang seperatly"
