Felt relieved

I have been OC'ing/CC'ing for a bit now, about a month straight, not counting before I had to sell my 9mm due to medical reasons and needing money, so over all, between then and now, a combined about 4 months. Well, Today for the first time, I OC'ed around my family. I have never been shy about OC'ing around my kids, or in a public place, but when around my family, namely father and a couple others, I insisted on keeping it concealed. Today, I decided to take the cover shirt off and let it all hang out for the world to see, and did not get a comment, which was great. My uncle was a bit shocked as was some of the undesirables/ that live in the rental unit/sleeping room that we have (we have a duplex, one side has good tenants, my uncle has his side and it has a couple sleeping rooms, which attracts undesirables).

I guess the point of my post is I feel so much relief not feeling required to CC around the family.

Sounds like that 'ice-breaker' was uneventful...

That it was. I just informed them a month or 2 ago that I has a CHL, but nobody suspected me of carrying, that little mouse gun hides well. I am going to be getting a G32, I am sure it will stand out much more and be harder to conceal. As long as events are uneventful, I will be a happy guy.

Sounds like yours went a little smoother than mine. Indiana issues at age 18 so I was probably 19 at the time. A buddy was driving race cars and we had mom's sister and husband visiting and they decided to go to an out of town race. They had a map spread out on the family room floor figuring out the best route. I got down on my hands and knees to point out the route we took........And my S&W 4" stainless 357 came out of my vertical shoulder holster and fell right in the middle of the map

I had a little "splainin" to do

So, do you still own the shoulder holster, and if you do, does it now have a type of retention on it.

It went smooth. I wonder what is going to happen when I show up with a new gun, I am sure I will get the "you are stupid, you cant afford that" speech, and I will just smile and say, well, Its all mine. I cant wait to get that new Glock.

Heh, I don't know if I'd worry too much about that..

I've found that if I keep my gun purchases limited to just "the black one" 's my GF can never tell the difference.

That maybe hard for me to hide. My current gun is a mousegun, my next one will be a compact or sub compact Glock, plus this one has wood grips.

It went much better than expected. I am not so "bashful" about it at the fathers now.
