I was stopping by a car dealer various times to wheel and deal on a car, and across the street..... was an abortion clinic and protestors. The ANTI-abortion folks were confrontational, aggressive to say the least, and in the middle of me for parking my car there (legally parked on the street by the car dealer). I had 2 kids with me and they got extremely nasty about "moving my car" ...... to the point (1) I felt definitely threatened , and (2) it is was waaaay out line let alone with kids there , (3) made me wonder who they think they are.

I finally told tell them what I thought of them... in no uncertain terms.......that I was not moving the car, and I called the police telling them my well-being was being threatened, accosted, etc.

With the violence that has occurred related to abortion clinics, etc.... I think any LEO would be skeptical of anyone there with a gun....
he can ask anything he wants but you dont have to respond... that pesky 4th/5th amendment things you know..

with the violence that has occurred by using guns anytime you carry i should be skeptical

i say we add a 2th amendment exception to the 4th amendment so when im in a big city i can be detained by every single officer that sees me all day long even if i only make it 4 blocks in 8 hours :sarcasm off:

The officer needs to have reasonable suspicion that you are underage and, therefore, cannot possess a handgun. Much like he could suspect that you are underage and under the influence.

They have means of figuring it out if you use your right to remain silent. The 5th amendment is not a get-out-of-jail free card. It just means that you don't have to incriminate yourself. You still have to identify yourself.

When I was in college, I was walking through frat row drinking a root beer around 10pm. LEO walks up to me and checks the can, sniffs around. He can do that - its reasonable suspicion. You're near the frats, carrying a metallic can and you look underage. It's not rocket science.

not to ask questions as long as its consensual....

We'd better not.

This thread is about the actions of the Cop and the Open Carrier, not abortion.

Lets not go there.

Keep it on topic.
