The OC guy could have done it better, but the LEO was a donkey.

Interesting video. I don't like anyone "inserting" themselves into a situation where the police are already involved.

That being said, I have a visceral kind of disgust when a police officer reacts in such a manner.

From the sound of it, it wasn't an "OC Event" the guy was just in the area and felt like sticking his nose in it.

Edited to add, apparently this guy might have been with with the crowd "assembling" at the clinic, I still think he's a moron.

So to me that makes him a moron. Now if people want to go places like that and draw attention to themselves have at it.

"Here's your sign!"
Every time we OC, we draw attention to ourselves and sometimes ask for trouble. Should we not do it then? If everyone was within their legal right, we should not have to be subject to harassment. The person shooting the video was more then prepared to engage the moron with the badge...but yet you call the video guy the moron. The cop new he was legally "out gunned", thats why he left!

I disagree. Just because you open carry doesn't mean you are asking for trouble but when you mix open carry with poor judgment then you may be asking for scrutiny or possibly trouble whether it be right or wrong.

By the way he knew what he was doing as he was one of the people peacefully gathering. This is his statement: "Two GPOs came up and were harassing one of the other people assembled."

You're right, the officer got embarrassed but the guy shooting the video is still a moron with poor judgment.

I totally understand. I never said we are always asking for trouble. We should NEVER be asking for trouble if we use our heads but this guy was not using his head in my opinion.

Same in Missouri. Not sure about in NC since the LEO did not push the issue.

I don't know if that would constitute a Terry Stop though.

Anytime someone open carries they are acting as a self appointed ambassador for all of the 2A supporters. I've always felt that if you weren't in the mood or have the skills to represent the 2A supporters with a positive attitude and be willing to educate in a professional way then don't open carry. You tend to ruin the chance to put the people that carry in a positive light.

To me the camera jockey missed a chance to educate, enlighten, and maybe even make some head way into how police approach a person exercising their rights. There are more ways to stand for an ideal other than being a finger wagging ass.
