Gun Bearer Has Pointed Discussion With Police Officer

Interesting situation. I think the gun owner handled it well.

Insert yourself into a situation the police are working on, which a open weapon on, expect to get challenged. The guy who did this video is a moron.

A moron I agree, but he was within his rights and did respond correctly.

I think the cop was the moron! Sure, the LEO gets a call and arrives on the scene and finds everyone assembling and/or carrying within their legal rights. Why does the LEO feel like he needs to do something?

Legal behavior and standing up for oneself makes one a moron?

He quite honestly was asking for trouble. Yea it's legal but myself I would not have gone anywhere near an abortion clinic to protest while openly carrying a weapon.

Sort of like if someone were to put on a KKK outfit and walk into an area of Harlem. Yea it's legal but not too smart!

So to me that makes him a moron. Now if people want to go places like that and draw attention to themselves have at it.

"Here's your sign!"

In Texas, failure to provide ID to an LEO, when requested, is a misdemeanor. If it was because he saw you printing and you acted like that you'd be in jail, especially if it was at a protest. No OC in Texas.

I don't know about NC, but OC'ing at a protest would seem like enough probable cause to ask for ID to verify the person is carrying within the law. Protests tend to become emotional and sometimes violent.

This is one reason I don't really like OC.

Looks like the cop realized he was about to step in a Constitutional booby trap.

When you realize that no law or "disturbing the peace" is taking place, MOVE ON.

OK, so the cops show up to address some yahoos at an abortion clinic, your standing around, NOT as a protester, whip out your phone and go start taking video of the police???

From the guy filming this:

I was standing on the corner of the street where an abortion clinic is "peaceably assembling" (NOT protesting). Two GPOs came up and were harassing one of the other people assembled. I walked up with phone out recording, when they notice I was open carrying (Smith & Wesson M&P .40).

I found out that after I left (I left maybe 45 mins AFTER this video) a detective More.. came looking for me. Next weekend should be interesting
Yeah, he's a moron.

Why does Joe Schmoe feel he need to go do anything and start taking video?

I wonder what the purpose they had for assembling at an abortion clinic. Anyone know why?
