It's a great bag. I bought mine last fall and used it a few times since then (traveling, at conventions, gun shows, etc), but about a month ago (when the weather got warm--no jacket) switched to using it full time. It will hold about 4x as much as I need right now, but it's nice to have the extra space for when I need to carry books, or a lunch, etc.

My HK P2000SK, P7M8 or KT P11 fit fine in the back pouch, both with extra mags and plenty of room to spare. A full size gun would fit no problem. I use a universal velcro holster that came with a fanny pack. If i didn't have that, I'd probably get a kydex pocket holster and stick velcro on the back.

When it's fully loaded the neck strap can start to chafe after a while. With a more reasonable load you can go all day. My one suggestion for improvement would be a curved pad (curved outward from your neck) like I've seen on some laptop bags.

I've gotten a few "man purse" comments (no, it's a "tactical man-bag") but honestly I get more people asking me where they can get one or how I like it since they've been looking at one too.

After being a nerd all my life maybe I'm *finally* ahead of fashion and hip? Nah...

I found another source for Maxpedition products although I do not know if they carry the complete line.

Dr. Jones says that a man-purse is OK, and that's good enough for me!

Look on page 2 of this thread. I was gonna get the Fat Boy but for a few more bucks you can get the Jumbo. I'm wearing it right now to get the feel of a Sig 229 resting inside.
I'm now looking at the CONDOR II backpack.
I don't mind paying extra for top quality gear.
Did ya see the video review by milspecmonkey?

Just bought a Fatboy for the wife (if anyone says it, I'll kill you). I'll let you know how it works out.

I was just wondering what the actual size difference is between the fatboy and the jumbo. Is it enough to worry about?

My understanding is that the largest (most meaningful) difference is the addition of the Nalgene pouch to the Jumbo.
