Weak responses, all of 'em.

I carry 3 packs of Marlboros , a fifth of Jack and a twelve of micro-brews to polish of the day's shooting.

What's this country coming to

Why is it that everyone wants to shoot in my bay?

I shoot IPSC, so my gear is slightly slanted towards that. Anyhow, I just got a new midway range bag and "moved in", so I know what's in it now:

My competition gun in a gun rug
The 5 mags I normally use for competition
Pro-ears earphones
Prescription shooting glasses in a case
Mag loader
A spot for ammo, currently empty
Empty bag for brass
Spiral notebook and pen
Copy of USPSA rulebook and my range officer target overlay
Some shoot-n-c's
A fishing-tackle type storage box containing:
A small amount of cleaning supplies, patches, brush, etc.
A small bottle of CLP
Extra springs and other small parts for competition gun and mags
Snap caps
Assorted small tools
6 pairs foam ear plugs (for rifle use or for guests)
Extra batteries for my Pro Ears
Spare mags for my competition gun
Knee pads (for prone and kneeling stages, beats "sliding into home plate" on your knees in the gravel)
A microfiber towell
a half-dozen or so chemical hand warmer packs (for outdoor matches in the fall/winter/early spring)
Sunblock
Baby wipes (small travel pack)
A spot for a bottle of water and a small snack like nuts or an energy bar

Dang, the knee pads are what I always forget. I need a bigger range bag. Best guess goes as follows. For USPSA shoot.

Pistola
200 min. rounds of .45acp
daily carry holster
couple of old kydex paddle holsters for single stack.
gun rag
dowel glued into flat 2x2 base for tapping that squibby out.
old sights.
various lubes
rubber grips fer that rainy shoot
bandaids
firstaid tape
3 misc. magazines
4 8rd Wilson Combat
3 10rd tripp research (two more on order)
one double kydex mag holder
3 or 4 single kydex mag holders
couple hundred rounds of pickup brass along with assorded sand rocks, twigs.
Tums
Ibuprofen
2 gun rugs
yellow wrap arounds for grey days
electronic earmuffs, no extra batteries, just put them in the muffs
extra pair of ear plugs.

tools I carry in the pickup, so that doesn't count.

You missed the "Spare mags for my competition gun" part farther down. Listed because they're in a separate compartment. About 8 of them I think, although I've never needed to pull out a spare yet.

And yeah, even shooting Limited-10 5 mags is plenty.

I have a small range bag at the moment. I used to carry a large bag, but things were getting out of control. So, at the moment I have a smaller bag to remind myself what I really need. Its contents are below--- guns are not listed because, frankly, the bag is too small to hold guns and gear.

1. 250 rounds 9mm
2. 200 rounds .22LR
3. 100 rounds 12 ga.
4. 150 rounds 7.62x39
5. small "pocket" cleaning kit
6. 12 ga. bore snake
7. foam ear plugs.
8. 3 sets ear muffs
9. ESS ICE eye protection with Rx insert.
10. Spare regular eye protection.
11. Large bottle CLP.
12. Leatherman.
13. First aid kit including quikclot
14. masking tape
15. staple gun
16. gloves
17. poncho
18. stocking cap
19. Asprin
20. Wetones

I also have a much larger first aid kit in the car, a cell phone, and the guns I am shooting with me, but not in the bag.

While reading everyone else's contents of their range bags it pretty much matched mine give or take.

Then it got me thinking, besides Echo I did not see many first aid kits?

The range where I shoot is pretty isolated and behind a locked gate. Sometimes it is just me and the horses in the field on the adjoining property. Just recently we got cellular service in that area. A person could bleed out before they were able reach help.

I think I am going to add a first aid kit of some kind to my bag.

Got one, but it is setup more for minor cuts and scrapes. A kit for gunshot wounds would be pretty hefty. I keep a larger kit in my truck which isn't far away from the shooting lanes, but not in my range bag.
