What's in your range bag?
Made a trip to the local gun show today. I picked up some ammo, some mags and a new range bag. (Unfortunately I didn't find any new weapons to buy.
) As I was transferring stuff from the old bag to the new, I thought I'd ask what others carry and maybe pick up some ideas. So, other than firearms and/or ammunition, what's in your range bag? I have eye and ear protection, plus a few spare pairs of earplugs, a box of push pins, a staple gun, staples, and a couple of markers. Brian |

Sounds like you've got it pretty well covered, the only other thing I have is a roll of masking tape, not the 3/4" stuff the wide roll so if the target starts getting "wasted" in one spot, slap a couple pieces of that up and keep shooting.

Two sets of eye and ear protection (one I wear, and another as backup/loaners), ammo (mostly .45, some .223 and a brick of .22), a .22 conversion kit for my Glock 21, extra Glock magazines (both .45 and .22), sunblock, batteries and a spare bulb for my Surefire, a brass bag, a multi-caliber Otis cleaning kit, writing implements (pencil, sharpie, and white-out marker), and a couple of spare flashlights. I've got two other bags too. One's got rifle stuff in it, the other has airsoft gear for force on force.

Depends on shoot! if IDPA then bag contains necessary rounds, plus some - all mags, range toolbox and Brownells screwdriver set.
Ear muffs, snack, extra ear plugs, gun of course and member card. If a major ''day-at-range'' then we have something approaching a logistical removals operation! Range bag itself will be similar but what matters is the ''range box'' - happens to be cardboard but will soon be a tote box. That contains too many things to list but includes spare eye protection, targets, stapler, masking tape, magazines assorted, sticky patches, bandaids, some cleaning gear, and a load of accumulated 'stuff'! Ammo then in ammo boxes ..... to suit the requirements. By time truck is loaded up - we have a serious amount of gear!

I don't carry everything listed above but I carry 2 plastic containers to take home the brass I pick up. I shoot .9m and .45 so one for each caliber.
I also carry my NRA basic pistol course book to consult if I need a quick refresher. It has come in handy a couple of times to correct the start of a bad habit.
