Surefire Flashlights

I have 4 Surefires: 2 Z-2's an "Outdoorsman" and a Surefire system on my 590A1. I highly endorse the product line - a little pricey - but very bright and very reliable. Depending on your usage I would recommend you consider the LED version as an option. You sacrifice some of the brightness but gain on battery life.
The G2 in LED is about $65. But you can get the regular G2 for under $40.

I have four surefire and 2 streamlight lights, all of which are about the same size. I like all of them, and carry at least one of them every time I ride the ambulance...

I have the aluminum version of the G2, the 6P, and love it to death. It rode my hip for over 2 years before I put a streamlight light there on my belt (just to mix things up a bit!)

You won't be disappointed.!

I used to have a G2 and really liked it. I sold it becuase I didn't have a use for it anymore. Now I have the G2L on the way. I would stay away from the P60 lamp assembly. My personal experince and shown me that they are very frail and can't take getting knocked around. I have had 3 different P60 LA's get messed up. Others on the other hand have had absolutely no problems. Maybe I'm just harder on my lights.

I prefer the Streamlight Scorpion over the G2, but they are fine flashlights. I normally see them go for under $35.

Buy the standard G2 and then go to this web site and buy the 3 W CREE LED conversion unit. Puts out about 120 lumens and runs for over 2 hours, costs $11.95.

I bought 2 conversions, one for my 6P and one for my G2. They're very bright and being LED very rugged. Life spans run around 100,000 hours. I won't go back to bulbs!!!!!!
