I just ordered 6 of these from Brownells. When they arrive, I'll shoot them them and post.

Wilson Combat ETM

So, has anyone tried Wilson Combat's new Elite Tactical Magazine for 1911?

I've shot them and they are flawless. They work great and I like them better than my Baers since they load easier due to the spring design. The bottom 2 or 3 coils are progressively smaller than my Baers making them compress easier. The tubes are longer, but the baseplates are thinner making the overall length the same.

I too have 47Ds and they for years have been working okay fine for me.
BTW just yesterday I had submitted an order for four 10 rd. Chip McCormick PowerMag magazines; https://www.topgunsupply.com/Chip-Mc...D-pr-1155.html

I've been using their 8rd. variant for 2 yrs. now toward carry, training, and IDPA without once having a failure or jam.
These 10 rd. units are on sale for $16.95 while the 8 rd. can be had for same or as little as $10.29 blued.

I picked up 6 of the chip mcCormick shooting star mags from http://www.cdnninvestments.com The blued mags are 9.99 and the stainless steel ones are 12.99. I have yet to come across a 1911 they don't function flawlessly in. Wilsons are great, but not worth the cash.

Agreed Rathos.
I'd rather spend the Wilson coin saved on that much more training ammo.

Guess it depends on what works. Neither of the 8 rd Chip McCormick mags would work reliably in my SA Champ. The Wilson 47D's work great.

I've trusted Wilson mags for years and have never been disappointed. The difference in cost really doesn't amount to much when you consider their lifespan.

I bought two last month and am running them through a couple of 1911's I own. So far so good. I really like the new Wolff mags which are the ACT-MAG with Wolff springs. Also using the Cylinder and Slide tactical 7rounders.

I just ordered 3 of the new Wilson's for my S&W 1911PD. I'll also post a report as soon as I can get out to do some shooting!
