Well, I've sent off my 1911PD to S&W so I had to use my Springfield Champion to test these magazines.
The ETM's were flawless, but I have to be honest, so were my 47D's. The magazine tube of the ETM is a tiny bit longer than the 47D and of course the new design includes a different floor plate also a bit more pronounced. Round count holes are easier to see remaining rounds through. According to Wilson, the spring is a new design and it certainly looks different but feels just like the old one when loading. I ran 200 rounds through these magazines and there wasn't a single issue with them. Bottom line: Aesthetics aside, the Wilson ETM Magazine isn't significantly different than the 47D in application. The new spring may prove to be superior if I live and shoot long enough to wear any of them out! Personally, as long as there are better prices on 47D's and 47DC's (my choice for CCW), I probably won't be buying any more Wilson ETM's! Thumper
