I currently have at least 3 lights available to me at most times. I carry a small led light on my keychain, and a maxfire tactical light in my pocket. I carry a messenger bag which contains a led headlamp, and a led minimag. I have a flashlight in each of my cars, one in each room of our house, and one in my desk at work. I've just had too many experiences where a light would be very helpful or completely needed, and for the life of me I couldn't find one. So now, I have a stash of them. I check each one once a month to make sure batteries are good. Boy scout motto: Be Prepared!

I have been carrying my Surefire 6PL non-stop since I got it. I never realized how much I needed a good light until I finally got one. Now I don't know what I would do with out it.

I've been considering adding a single AAA light to my collection simply because I can get batteries ANYWHERE. Fenix has a model called the L0D that boasts 75 lumens out of one AAA battery. Granted, the light is way too small for tactical use, but having that much light on hand to change a tire, navigate through a dark building during a power failure (especially a nuclear power plant), or anything else is definitely worth putting on my keychain or ID lanyard.

For me its the E2D defender from Surefire they do make the best lights available and are on the forefront of technology, i use mine everyday i use it to check the inside of my truck when leaving work in around and under it also from a distance, rather avoid a confrontation the get involved.

Surefire U2 Ultra is the best all around flashlight available IMHO. Just a tad bigger than I prefer for EDC around town.
For ECD I use my Surefire Lumamax L4 for a great balance of power, size, and toughness. |

Edit: I now carry a Fenix LOD on my keychain (get it, you won't regret it), a Fenix L2D CE (135 lumens) and Fenix T1 (225 lumens). I also just bought a Surefire 6P that I am going to make a 9P and put in a Malkoff Cree Q5 drop in mod (235 lumens). I think it will be my weapon light though.
