Yes, I carry something a bit different from most folks though. I carry a modified Inova X5. It was modified by an R&D company for a particular contract. I managed to get ahold of one of the few overstocks that they didn't purchase. Needless to say, I'd be lost if I lost my flashlight.
As opposed to the original factory Inova X5's, the metal for the housing on mine is literally impregnated with the coloring that gives it a matt green color so effectively the "paint" doesn't chip off. Which, among other things, means it never gets shiny and gives away your position when you don't want it to. The threads were also changed as well as the water seals, etc... It's also a wee bit heavier.

It's also super bright and yet is only 13/16" wide x4" long total size and is also crush-proof guaranteed to be well over 2000+lbs (i accidentally tested this).

Till yesterday I carried a Surefire G2 but a new 6P arrived in the mail and now it shall be the new daily carry light and the G2 will be a now a permanent fixture in my AKlon. A G2Z is the wife's night stand light plus a couple of LED-Modified minimags and regular sized maglights floating around the house.

Always carry my Surefire - which came in handy for those of you who didn't read my thread in the scenarios forum. Been caught in too many dark places out after dark having lost something or otherwise needing a light.

i dont have a carry flashlight but would like to get one.
unfortunately i am kind of out of room!
i have no pocket room and little belt room.

does anyone have suggestions on a VERY small flashlight?
I once had a tiny 1 LED flashlight which was about 1"x3"x.01"
which was perfect. and i got it for free. it was quite bright for its size.
i would like to find something like this again. any suggestions?
Mainly i want something that is thin. preferably flat, not round, not expensive.

also brings up question: blue or white LED? (or other?)

Many different kinds around the house and vehicles, but the main ones for carry are a G2 and a little Inova X1 that I picked up last weekend. Neat little light, very bright for its size, though I am having issues with the tailcap switch. But for $19.99 I don't expect perfection.

I voted no because I don't always carry one, but if I'm going out at night I'll take my Z2 with me.

I voted yes but I don't always carry it, especially at work.

If I am awake and dressed, I have a flashlight with me. Generally, I have multiples. An old law enforcement buddy once told me "two lights is one and one light is none"...the thought process being that if you only have one light it will crap out at the exact wrong time.

On my belt behind my cell phone I carry a Surefire E1E (15 lumens). Can't tell you the number of times it has come in handy. In my briefcase, which I pretty much carry everywhere, I have a Surefire G2. If I am going out at night and am armed, I carry either an E2D (60 lumen with crenelated bezel) or a A2 Aviator (red led plus 60 lumen white light).

If you carry a gun at night...you had better always have a light. Remember Rule 4 of Firearms Safety (be aware of your target and what is behind it).
