I got mine at Concealed Carry Clothiers. There are three pockets on the outside, the rest of the pockets are on the inside. Nobody has ever looked at me twice while wearing the vest, and I have had mine now for two years.

I really really like the sigtac and also the woolrich elite series, BUT, I just can't seem to get a "shoot me first vest". One should carry very discreetly and be as subtle as possible and not advertise. just my personal thought..Really cool vest though..perhaps I'll get one to go fishing with!

I feel the same way....it raises more questions than anything. Now the woolrich elite series I could get away with, as you always see the yuppies where I live wearing stuff like that. Things to note: I am not a photography, and do not want to advertise that I carry a gun. Thus, a vest with that many pockets screams one of these two options. However, for a day at the range this might be great.

I am wearing a "shoot me first" vest right now, and only comment I ever get when wearing around here is, "going fishing?".

I used to think they were shoot me first vests. But honestly, the only people that think of them like that are the people on the shooting forums. Most people think "gee that guy has on a vest" if they think anything.

I wear a "Shoot Me First" vest about half the time. Am wearing one right now and I love it. I have heard all the thoughts on them and I do not believe anyone but other gun people even give it a thought.

I have a Sig Tech and a Woolrich Elite vest and like them both but prefer the Sig Tech. The Sig Tech is longer and covers completly with an OWB holster. The Woolrich Elete covers fine over an IWB. I love the vest pockets on both but the Sig Tech has a great pocket layout for me. Upper left pocket gets Cell Phone, middle left gets Check Book, middle right gets Sun Glasses, lower right pockets hold water bottles or bottle of pop perfectly if needed. I also like the hand warmer pockets on the Sig Tech. With the Woolrich I find myself with my hands in my pants pockets thus lifting up the vest.

These last few weeks I've been wearing my SIG-TAC Vest a lot and I do like it better than my 5.11 Vest. It's much lighter as already mentioned and it doesn't have that back pocket like the 5.11, I like not having it.

The 5.11 shines when it's used for gun carry but as a cover garment the SIG-TAC gets my vote!

I think I'll order another one in black!

Depends on where you live, but we call them "shoot me first" vests too. Granted, they sure are handy, just not low profile enough. I do have a black 5.11 with some covert pockets, so I'm a hippocrite, though it looks like every other black fleece vest, no mfg. logo jazz. I don't use it very often, since I have better CCW cloaking.
