If you go the Z2 route, look at the the G2Z. The plastic body will protect the lamp if you drop it, LED or other wise. I have a G2Z, and love it.

Ditto for the E2E. It's incandescent, but a great little light.
L4 if you gotta have an LED. |

It should be just like the G2 LED. Very bright. 12 hour run time.

I will also have to say the E2e. The light I used when I was doing bar security was my Z3(no longer made) 105/200 lumen, that thing will blind ya.

L1
After all my searching, I got the L1. Pretty small so it's easy to carry along with all the other junk I carry pocket-wise. It has a strike face on it, but it's a short light. I like the 2 stage light output. Beware that there are 2 versions, the latest has a 15 lumen or 65 lumen output, the old ones maxed out at 12 lumens IIRC. Make sure you know what you're getting if you go online. It has LED reliability and bulb life and lets you switch from "where are my keys?" light output to "tactical" output effortlessly. If you work nights or have a lot of extra space on your belt or in your pockets, then the 6 series is fine. MY L1 is not a primary weapon, and I use it like a good knife.... Mostly utility, but available for defense. If I can't carry a firearm, I do carry a G2 with the 120 lumen bulb, but I don't waste all that battery power and expensive bulb on looking for a keyhole in the dark with it.
