I love my 6P. It's bright as I could ever ask...tough aluminum body...lightweight and compact. What more do you need?

Probably the 6P LED.

I will carry ONLY LED flashlights. I simply don't like, need, or want any incandescents anymore. I consider them obsolete, wasteful, weak...

I currently carry an E1L. VERY small for the amount of light you get from it. I also want to check out the G2 Nitrolon LED. Not sure if the tailcap switch works the same as the E1L, though. If it does, I'm gonna get one. More lumens than the E1L.

I carry a 6P with the CREE LED and will never go back to incandescent bulbs. Love the battery life and BRIGHT light.

If you're looking for size:performance, then the L4. For price:performance, then the G2 LED.

After researching Surefire's website I found out that battery run time is not at full power......but until the light dies down to nothing. So far the best I have found is the L1 because it has two modes of operation and is very small. One 65 lumen 60 min light and a 10 hr+ low power setting...

Surefire has an LED upgrade bulb to replace the P60 bulb. An extra 20 lumens to 80 lumans and longer burn time than the P60. www.surefire.com

L2 - I find that the beam intensity pattern is better than any I've seen. I used the dual intensity feature a lot!

The L2 has a broader beem than most I've seen. I didn't like that at all at first because I was used to a narrowly focused beam that reaches out further, etc.

But as I did FOF simulators in low light levels, I discovered the broad beam of the L2 illuminated more areas where threats could be. It essentially lights up the entire room.

Then I had to do some soul searching, do I want a tighter beam e.g. Gladius, or a broader beam. There is no question that he Gladius will reach further outside than the L2, but I'm rarely gonna be outside trying to identify a threat at long range. So I opted for the L2 and have never turned back.

It is one of the few LED lights that has a low intensity level that can be used for routine things and extend battery life. I don't leave home without it.
