So... I bought a couple of...

The wall clocks that will hold a firearm from Sportsman's Guide. They are all wood construction and quite well made. All in all a very attractive clock with an added attraction inside. I figure they are uncommon enough to be fairly safe storage for a ready handgun. One in the bathroom and one in the kitchen.Anybody else??

The only problem I see is when the crackheads break into your house and go to vandalize it. I can see the look of amazement on their face when they knock the clock off the wall and a gun falls out.

I have seen those in the sportsmans guide for quite a while now...I think I might try it after the kids are much older...
I hope they work well for you...a good home defense plan puts a firearm on every floor you 'live' on...cause you never know where you might be when a BG decides to come knocking.

Seems like it could work...certainly 'out of sight, out of mind'.

Stay armed...check the time...stay safe!

Interesting idea. I keep my handgun on me but I guess having another one stashed couldn't hurt!

Nifty idea. I don't have any kids, so this looks like it would work pretty well.

Unless you mount it on a stud with some 3" wood screws...

I do have a 13 year old, but I take him shooting with me. I mounted the clocks securely to studs and they are 6' up the wall. They could have been priced at $139 and would have seemed worth the price. There is also enough room for some other items inside too.Sportsman's Guide is very gun friendly. Chuck.
