Eotech hood on a Bushnell?

As I understand it, the Bushnell Holosight is the same unit as the Eotech, just without the protective hood.

You can buy the hood as a replacement part from Eotech - does anyone know if it can be attached to a Bushnell unit?

Yes. I am the cheapest man alive.

I'll give that a shot, but I wouldn't really expect them to be too forthcoming about it.

I figured I couldn't be the first cheapskate to consider this, maybe somebody has already tried and can give me the straight dope on it.

My understanding is that Eotech makes the Bushnell holosight as well.

Yes, they do.
I believe that Bushnell originally developed it.
Then EOTech took it over - made some improvements/modifications but continued to make the HoloSight for Bushnell under the Bushnell name.

Thumbs down

I did look at my Busnell sight. If I got the hood for it how would I screw it on? The hood has 4 screw holes and my holsight has no holes for the screws!
