I use something like this with a cable lock to my seat frame. I couldn't find the any measurements so I don't know how big it is. You could also use a small fireproof safe. Vaultz Cash Box, Black at Office Depot.

Maybe you could use a gym or range bag. Some of those have double zippers that can lock together. I have a laptop backpack with double zippers that locks.

Would locking them in your glove box be legal?

If you have a truck, maybe you could get a truckbox for the bed and lock them in there. They come in handy for other things too, like tools and such.

I saw a padded pistol bag at Bi-Mart that would hold two pistols and had two zippers that are lockable.

X2 on the Tuffy stuff. I had a Tuffy center console in the Jeep as well that also held the head unit for the stereo. Real sweet stuff, and custom built to mount into your ride. Nice cylinder lock, good steel, real strong. You could pad it, or get a couple of padded sleeves to keep them in.
