A few thoughts...

1.) Driving: My ma' was virtually cold blooded, but was fine while driving...as long as the heater in her car was on...in July. Good point...obviously a good reason to have driving gloves on is because your hands might get cold, so I didn't mean to be obtuse. I happen to have a heater in my Jeep (many cars these days have 'em...look into it) so frostbite is easily prevented with a push of a lever and the turn of a knob.
Sometimes simply turning on the heat doesn't work. I was in northeast Montana for the last week, and at -20F(the daytime high for three days, and not unusual there), the engine never warms up enough to produce any heat. Just a thought.

Pistols:

In the winter, Blackhawks. Deerskin palms, stretchy cloth material on backhand, deerskin reinforced knuckle areas and velcro wrist straps. I wear these gloves all the time when I'm outdoors and carrying and practice w/them too.

In the summer no gloves.

Trapshooting:

In summer, Bob Allen (w/trigger finger cut out).

In winter, Footjoy winter golf gloves.

Can you tell me which model of the Black Hawk gloves you have/like? I looked them up and they seem pretty cool. May get me a pair if I need something more substantial. As a side note, the Hatch ones I went with are half the budget as those.

These S.O.L.A.G. Full Finger Gloves w/Kevlar look pretty sweet though.

Those are considerably thicker. They are good but The Hatch fit me perfectly for shooting.

The Blackhawk gloves I have (I think they were called 'Light Tacticle') are not in 2008 catalog nor are they on the website. I got them at least five years ago.

I'll post a pic of them when my camera battery gets charged up.
