The TLRs are very bright. I have the TLR2 only because I got a GREAT price on it, which was only a few bucks more than the TLR1.

This evening I decided to give my M-6 Streamlight flashlight/laser tactical light another test. I've got a pig steel swinger in front of my house and just enjoy ringing the gongs. Usually I don't mess around at night but since I switched to the Sig from the Baby Eagle with the mounted light in the evening I figured I'd better check the zero. All I did when I changed it over to the Sig was adjust the laser to where I normally hit at 15 yards which is at the 6:00 position with my sights. I fired 5 shots at the white painted steel pig and could cover them up with a silver dollar. Yep works for me. The next skunk, cat, feral dog or BG at night is in trouble. I'm pleased with it's performance and the ability to remove it every morning and put it on every evening since the Sig is my daily carry gun. Anyway just wanted to let you all know it works for me and stays dead on target between moving it on and off.

If you are going to use the TLR, or any other light that squeezes the frame rails, on a G22 use extreme caution. There have been may cases of reduced reliability with this combination. The short explanation is that the squeezing of the frame rails increases the rigidity of the frame increasing slide velocities. This will cause the slide to "outrun" the magazine and cause some non standard stoppages. With that being said, increasing the power of the mag springs does NOT always fix the problem. I know of at least one large, mid west agency that sent their brand new G22s back to Glock for G17s. I personally witnessed three cases of this on the range yesterday. 1 was TLR related. We'll see if new mag springs fix the problem. If you have a G22 I would stick with the SF lights. They do not squeeze the frame and I have not seen any problems with them.

I've got 3 weapon mounted lights:
Insight M3 on my nightstand pistol Insight M3X on my Benelli M1S90 Surefire X300 on my M4 All get the job done. While the X300 is LED and has 110 lumens the M3X is about $100 less and has 125 lumens it's been on my Benelli through a couple classes and a whole bunch of low-light beaver/muskrat control. Chuck
