I have Orvis's Loch Leven Vest. I can't rave about it enough. I live in the damn thing. I've had it for 3 1/2 years, and wear it far more than I've ever worn any other coat/ jacket or vest.

It holds a ton of stuff, keeps me pretty warm three seasons, and doesn't scream gun.

J-Frame/ Semi Auto fits well in the pocket.

I have a Columbia vest that I use for fishing. But since I joined this forum, I realized that it could be used to hide a gun also. It works pretty good for that, and works really well in hot weather, as it was made for fishing, so it is a very light nylon material.

A couple of weeks ago I bought a Woolrich vest. It would be okay for winter carry, but no way once it gets warmer. This thing is heavy-duty, and it does scream "gun".

Get a fishing vest, just make sure it is long enough!

BTW, don't leave Power Bait in your vest. It tends to stink a little, even if the bait is ziplocked.

A couple of years ago I purchased a vest from these guys The Holster Vest It's got holsters on both sides, room for extra magazines and room for a Shurefire type flashlight. It's comfortable and I tend to wear it for going out to dinner or to church. When it reaches the hottest part of summer I tend to go with something cooler but for fall, winter and spring it works great. For me it's been well worth the money.
