Surefire X300 Applications
I'm trying to find an app guide to see if the X300 will fit my Sig P229R and HK P30. I tried an Insight M6X last night and it did not fit either one, the rails were too short.
Does anyone here know if the X300 will fit either of my guns? Also, what suggestions do you have for a rail-mounted light aside from the Surefire? |

All mentioned should have fit fine; you might have a little hang over the dust cover, but its nothing to worry about. I do think the X300 is longer than the M6.

Sixto,
It's strange I was thinking the M6X would fit but there wasn't enough rail to lock the unit in to either P229R or the P30. The part where the switches are was already hitting the trigger guards and the unit hasnt locked in yet. |

Kweek Straw,
OK bad Babbalouie impersonation aside. The SF x series lights come with two locking plates. The U plate is the universal plate that fits the Glock et al. The P plate fits the Picatinny rail. Do you have the right one for your pistol? KD

My bad for not reading your OP carefully. I was on a call out from 0100 till a little awhile ago and am a little fuzzy. There is a guy in another local that has an M6 on a 229R and it fit without an issue. I only have the SF X series lights. They have fit anything with a rail just fine.

Sixto,
Was looking at the Insight website and it seem like the M6X I tried on had the long gun backplate which was probably why it didn't fit. |

Ahh, OK... that makes sense. I just ran upstairs to compare my M3 to a 228... it doesnt have a rail but if it did it would fit just fine.

My M3 and M3X both fit on my SIG220ST without a problem.
My Surefirer X300 will be here next week, I'll post up if it doesn't fit. Chuck
