Please help me choose between the following:
Galco Dress Belt SB3; $70
"1 1/2 inch wide, with top and lining of premium saddle leather, this is a dress belt designed to carry the weight of a handgun. Available in havana brown and black with a nickel-plated solid brass buckle or tan with solid brass buckle." or Galco CSB7 COP BELT; $60 "1 1/2” Cop holster belt is constructed of full grain cowhide lined with premium center cut steerhide. Designed to support the weight of a handgun. Includes nickel-plated solid brass buckle. Available in black. " and MB1 MATRIX BELT; $30 "The 1 1/2" wide MB1 Matrix™ belt is made of BioThane(R). It won't crack or peel, won't soak up sweat and will remain flexible and black in color over its lifetime. Like the Matrix holster line, this synthetic belt has the appearance of leather. " Am very tempted to go by price and apperance and go for the SB3 Dress belt..is this a very good belt? |

Nothing at all against those belts but do yourself a huge favor before you purchase and checkout the belts from The Beltman.

I just received 2 Beltman belts and I like them so far. They're nice with casual wear.
That Galco SB3 dress belt looks real nice. I need a couple of nice dress gun belts and that's probably what I'll get. edit; SB1 1-1/4" looks more like a dress belt. Last edited by socuban; April 14th, 2008 at 08:16 PM. |

The 1.75 Bullhide Belt with an internal stiffener seems to be a great idea but not sure if they are the best with a suit?! Anyone that use this with a suit?

No suit I've ever had would accommodate a belt of width 1.50 inches.

+1 on the beltman. I have 2 of his, one 1 1/2" that I wear with jeans and a 1 1/4" that's perfect for dress. FWIW, I find the 1 1/4" just as stiff and supportive as the 1 1/2" for IWB carry. What type of gun/rig? An additional internal stiffener isn't usually necessary with these belts unless you're carrying a pretty large, all steel pistol OWB...... |

I have a 1.5 inch double bullhide that works great in anything up to chino's or khaki's... (dress casual) never tried with suit but probably wouldn't fit.
Certainly the 1.75 inch would not fit a suit. (Unless it's a 1970's era leisure suit!) If going for a suit, I'd go with the 1.25 inch double bullhide with the plastic stiffener.

Another +1 for Beltman I have several in 1 1/2 and 1/1/4. The 1 1/4 i wear with my dress slacks. His basic bull hide belts are plenty stiff and strong enough. I carry a G 27 in an Mtac.

I ordered this for wear with Sunday best. It's $79 from Concealco Leather. Expensive but I think it'll last me forever. I think the beltman belts are great for more casual dress.
