I have to wear the phone all the time - jacket or not. Now, excuse me while I apply a healthy dose of Vitalis to my hair and adjust the calculator that I carry on the other side. And yes, you're counting six Bic pens in my breast pocket. Gotta go. Time to pick my nose.

I like carrying that big ol' blackberry on my belt. I slide it right up next to the clips of my IWB and the phone provides cover for my gun. With the blackberry there, even people who look won't get suspicious of a bulge in your shirt right next to where your phone is sitting.

Well, I carry mine at 4 Oclock when I'm not carrying my Glock there. Use to the weight, and having somthing hanging there. Don't care what it looks like. Not into that kind of thing.

I'm callin' you guys out on the cell phones on belts are for nerds and wusses crap.

You guys must not get out and bust your ass too much in the heat if you can keep a cellphone in your pocket. Us outdoor types that work in the heat know how long cellphones in the pockets last when you start sweatin'!

Have fun when you stick that brick of crotch sweat and pocket lint up against your face.

(just having a little fun no one get all flamed up or anything...)

I live in an open carry (cellphone) state as well, in the pocket without any external protector scratches the phones up significantly. Put a protector on it and then it is too bulky and too slow to answer. My front pockets hold change and keys. Back pocket holds wallet. I don't think the cell phone would last long in a back pocket.

Am I a nerd for also carrying my leatherman tool in a cordura holster on my belt?

My cell stays in my car because it does'nt work inside my office and I don't use it at home. If I go inside a store or get out of my car to a restaurant, etc, it clips on my belt.

As for the original post question, there are probably at least hundred different configurations, makes and models of cellphone holders. I made my own because I got tired of the cheap plastic clips breaking and put a larger steel clip on a cordura pouch similar to the one from wrbsales Cell Phone Pouches

I just stick it in my shirt pocket and forget about it. Works as good as a shoulder holster.

Y'all got it wrong. Just carry the phone Sonny Burnett style:

Available from ThinkGeek at ThinkGeek :: Gadget Shoulder Holster

If you really want to show who's tacticool, you can even get a sort of cell phone drop holster from them. ThinkGeek :: Gadget Hip Holster :: Additional Images

I'll spare you images of it.
