Thank you Gene and Cathy Malkoff! Mad kudos +100!
I got a Cree LED drop-in for my Surefire 6P from Gene Malkoff a while back (I think there is a review here somewhere) and loved it. Unfortunately, the other day, it stopped working. It is possible that is was battery caused. Anyway, I sent an email to Mr. Malkoff on the 29th, telling him of the situation and to my surprise, he answered less than two hours later, telling me to send him my address so he can send me a new one! I wasn't expecting a brand new $60 drop-in for nothing. I didn't even have to send in the old broken one. Well, I picked up the package today (the 3rd) after they tried to deliver it the day before. That is fast!
So, I got a new drop-in and I got it fast. I HIGHLY recommend their product, not just because of their amazing quality, but also for their superb customer service. There is a wait on his products, since all his products are made meticulously by hand, but I assure you that they are well worth the wait. I plan on getting more of their products in the future. Gene and Cathy are the BEST! THANK YOU!!!

They look great, but what makes them better than the $15 Cree drop in modules? The heat sink? Is it really necessary?

The fact that they are better built, uber dependable, are US made by a really swell guy, and push out more lumens than most of the competition, and have really nice beam quality all all reasons why one should have one. I have yet to get one, mostly because A) Im broke and B) they're so popular the batches go quickly.
I'd take a reliable efficient USA made LED over a semi-reliable efficient foreign made LED every time. There. My plug for Malkoff. ![]()

I bought the LED bulb for my 3-cell Mag at Home Depot...best $20 investment I made for my Mag...
I see the drop-in's for SureFire's are all sold out anyway. Stay armed...stay bright...stay safe!
