The USGI mag pouch with the ALICE clips holds three mags and mounts on a pistol belt.

That's what I was thinking get a web belt in a milsurp store with a couple mag pouches and you can carry 6 30 rounders on you're hips if you wanta suspend the weight on your shoulders get the suspenders with the belt, you can also add a drop leg holster off the belt for being really tacticool

Found it. I see that as a training and familiarity issue, or perhaps even a gear compatibilty issue, more than as a chest rig issue. (Even understanding the student's apparent familiarity with the combination.)

"I thought I would post an event I witnessed at a recent class. A shooter was running his AK which ran dry. He slung the rifle and tried to transition to his pistol. He was using a concealment type holster in conjunction with a chest rig. He drew and got his pistol hung up in the chest rig and discharged one round into his right leg. The pistol involved was a Glock .40.

I would warn to make sure you can easily acces your pistol and that it is unobstructed during the draw stroke. If you cant reach it easily and have an unobstructed draw then you might rethink your equipment choises."

You could get the 5.11 vest or woolrich.

I'm still selling the Woolrich Vests for $69.99 S-2XL with FREE SHIPPING. http://www.rogueelite.net/ProductDet...oductCode=4903

My vest is basically a range bag and I use every pocket in it, but you don't have to jam it full of stuff. I'm hoping that the successor to Woolrich Elite comes out with a chest rig though. I've heard rumors they are.
