Mine runs great with all the 7 rnd mags I tried. Even the cheap $6 mags from Sportsmans Guide. Just had a problem with CM 8 rnders and HP's.

I have only tried wilsons so far but CM's are on their way. My big issue is slide lock open after last round. Does not lock open consistently with SA mags and will not lock open at all with wilsons.

I have removed my slide and reinserted the slide stop and inserted my mags with a dummy round and pushed it forward to see how the slide stop functions with the mags. The stop consistently moves up as it should so I am baffled as to my problem.

Sounds like the follower may not be pushing up on the slide stop enough. May be a spring or follower issue?

My mags work fine in my Fullsize 1911, their brand new. My test without the slide proved that the mags are working, they push up the slide stop. Do you think my recoil spring is too strong?

The only problem magazine I have is my Chip Mcormick 8rd. I can over insert it if the slide is already locked back and the slide doesn't always lock back when I use it.

I bought a 10rd Chip Mcormick mag that wont feed rounds. My SA 7rd mags wont drop out of the well, after the last shot is fired. Willson 47D mags work flawlessly.

Okay, first off... are you using the Shooting Stars or PowerMags? I've used CMC SS mags in my SA Champion and it functioned without issue, same with my two Colts. PowerMags are said to be even better.

Might try replacing the springs with Wolff +10% and see if that helps. No problems with the plunger tubes, right? Everything is staked tightly there?
