Thank you for the suggestion. I wear latex gloves everyday for work in a laboratory but had never thought about what they might do to someone I had to work on.

Yes, I briefly considered the colossus and may still buy one. I chose the Sitka because I wanted something that rode on my back rather than along my side like a messenger-bag.

Thumbs up Sitka questions for Robinsonre (or anyone)

First things first: thanks, robinsonre, for an excellent review - it gave me the info I needed to be willing to drop the cash on the Sitka. I got it today, along with the maxpedition concealed carry holster, and I've got two questions:

1. No matter what I do, the front sight on the gun (trijicon on a glock 36) snag on the holster while drawing. Is there a way to fix this, or do I just need a better holster? Is so, recommendations?

2. Have you used the tactie straps that come with it? They seem prione to loosening - would velcro straps be better?

Thanks!

People seemed to like this review.

I'm getting two more Maxpedition products this week, a Condor II backpack and a Jumbo Versipack.

If anyone's interested in full reviews of these let me know.

I can even throw up some digital photos this time!

Excellent review! Maxpedition are the best at what they do, hands down. I have friends that have been using their products since the company started and they all have nothing but good things to say about the quality of their products.

I ordered a Maxpedition "Fat Boy" Versipak that should be here any day now. I also ordered a 3 magazine holder and a CCW holster for the bag. I plan on doing a video review of it when I get it and will post it here in the forums.

Thanks again for a great review!

Yeah man, you have a video camera? Do a video review and throw it on youtube. I just started doing video reviews on YT myself. I'm not that good at it.....but I really enjoy doing them!

Great review, I too have a Jumbo Versipak that I have as a go bag. I also have a manta that isn't as roomy as the jumbo, so I use it for a go bag for my PC 4 carbine and a winchester 1300 shotgun.

Very good review. Thanks.

I love Max products!

I especially like their 10 inch water bottle pouches. I use one on each end of my Blackhawk Enhanced Battle Bag.

In the 10 inch Water Bottle Pouch I carry my Nalgene Triton 1L water bottle nestled in an Stainless 16 oz Oilicamp Mug/bowl. In the outside accessory pocket I carry an Esbit Stove with fuel tabs as well as Java Juice Coffee Extract packets. In the other 10 inch Water Bottle pouch I carry other items such as mini binocs, paracord, prescription Wiley-X (XL-1's) and Best Glide survival fishing kit. I can ditch those items, or cram into main pocket in favor of an additional water bottle if needed.
