I really like my G2. It feels indestructable, but I haven't accidentally "tested" that yet. As far as the lithium batteries go, the 12 pack of Surefire batteries for $25.00 is roughly the same price as buying 4 or 5 anywhere else.

I find that buying direct from Surefire is often the best way to go. There aren't really any places that discount Surefires too much.

Also check out http://www.americanheritagesports.com . Joe's a really good guy to do business with and my primary source for Benchmade knives. He recently started stocking the Surefire line as well. Most of his items are "Price on Request" so just shoot him an e-mail and he'll get back to you - usually the same day.

You just email him and say "I want a discount"? Do I just have to ask for a lower price or is there some special reason anyone would get a discount? I.E. being a LEO, Military, member of this forum?

FWIW, Botach.com has the Gladius on sale (I guess) for $199 and you get 20 CR123 batts free with the light. That's at a $25 value free.
