I wear a tan Cabela's vest.

I've been asked a couple of times if I was going fishing by aquaintences and I just reply that it's my man purse. It really is my man purse at times though . It's comfortable, it hold s my stuff securely and goes on/off quick. Sheeple never notice or they think I'm a fisherman or a bird watcher, CCers always do. I don't think BGs notice but if they do, so far it's worked to keep them away. Just like the elephant repelent I put on everyday. No elephant attacks yet.

I have a Blackhawk Fanny Pack that I wear when riding my Harley. Works great. Fast access with the pull cord. Yes you use two hands to grab the gun but then so does IWB. I put a Harley "Bar and Shield" logo patch on the front and nobody knows squat. Lots of bikers wear them and don't carry.

I live in Orlando and have a blue fanny pack which I glued a Mickey Mouse patch to. Does a nice job of concealing my Glock 19. Thank you Walt.

My concern is always does the general population normally wear either vests or fanny packs. Yes, people do wear fleece vests, but only in cool weather. Fanny packs, not so much.
Although I took my kids to the McD's with an indoor playground last night for dinner and there was a mom with a fanny pack-ish purse thing. Made me wonder if she was packing. Looked heavy enough.

+1 but I can't help it...friends don't let friends wear fanny packs or vests.

Lightbulb Concealed...

Carrying a weapon, concealed is almost as much "attitude" as it is equipment.
The manner and behavior of the person is probably as important to "concealment", as is how you carry!

I have one of the new Ka-Bar "TDI" Fanny Packs. Hope it doesn't cost me my ManCard. Well-made, deceptively small, good retention, fast deployment, hidden (no snatch) rear belt loops, nice design. Two extra horizonal pockets ideal for Surefire E2 & a spare mag. I never imagined (after decades of CC) it would appeal so much to me, but it absolutely does. Very pleased with the purchase & its performance. Color is black, but I DID sew a nice, bright Rapala lure patch front & center. Considering the price of good fishing lures...it may be as tempting as a camera bag!

fanny pack logo

I occasionally use a fanny pack, dark grey. If I wanted to put a bit of cammo on it, I would use a local college team logo, like Ohio State or U of Cincinnati.

I wear a fanny pack when I go running or the gym or someplace else I can't wear a belt+holster. I put a "Peace Through Superior Firepower" patch on it (looks like just a peace sign until you read the words around it.

I likewise wear a fanny pack at times. This difference is that my fanny packs will have a Red Cross logo, or a camera logo, or some other logo far removed from suggesting a firearm.
